At Books of Love, we believe every child deserves the joy of reading, the power of knowledge, and a safe space to play and learn. Our mission is to bring books and build community libraries for children in Manila and across the Philippines especially in underserved neighborhoods.
We collect and donate books, create fun and safe reading spaces, and spark a lifelong love of learning in young minds.
What is Our Purpose?
Book Donations
We gather new and gently-used children's books for our local library so kids can come read.
Build Safe, Child-Friendly Libraries
We set up small libraries and reading corners where children can read, play, and learn in a nurturing environment.
Promote Fun & Play-Based Learning
Through storytelling events, reading games, and play-based literacy programs, we make learning exciting and accessible for all.
In many parts of Manila, children grow up without books at home or access to a library. We’re here to change that. With your help, we can give every child the gift of imagination, knowledge, and hope for a brighter future.

Meet the Founder
Ayka Hogan
My name is Ayka, and I’m honored to serve as President for Books of Love. My love for children and books inspired me to build a library that will provide children in Manila with a place to learn, explore and develop a lifelong love of reading.
I have been a stay-at-home mom since 2018, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It has taught me patience, resilience and the importance of balancing family and personal growth.
Besides reading I enjoy baking, Pilates workouts, playing golf, listening to music, singing karaoke and of course, hanging out with my girlfriends. It’s definitely a must! Spending time with friends helps me recharge and reminds me of the importance of laughter, connections and making lasting memories.
Building a library is deeply personal to me. I want a library that brings our community together and provides resources that makes a lasting difference. My dedication to this dream will ensure Books of Love continues to inspire, educate and welcome everyone for years to come.
